Jennifer has been a specialist Conservator of East Asian Paintings and Works on Paper for 20 years. Her work for institutions includes Fine Arts Museums San Francisco, Legion of Honor and DeYoung Museum, Honolulu Museum of Arts, Houston Museum, Santa Barbara Museum, San Diego Museum of Arts, State Library of Queensland, Queensland Art Gallery, and special projects for Seoul National Palace Museum.
For 7 years she gained expertise in East Asian paintings conservation, learning from 3 mentors who each trained extensively in Tokyo National Museum, and Gochang Conservation Institute in South Korea. Her first mentor was the first non-Japanese person to be certified to conserve Japanese National Treasures. Jennifer worked alongside him 5 years focused on conserving and remounting Hanging Scrolls, Folding Screens, on gold and silver leaf paper, woodblock prints, and paintings on silk, from China, Japan, Korea, and Himalayan Buddhist Thangka paintings.
Over the years she has worked amongst talented Paper conservators, including colleagues from National Gallery D.C., Library of Congress, National Library of Australia, Museum of Contemporary Arts Sydney, Los Angeles County Museum of Arts, remaining at the forefront of current best practices in art conservation.
