Gianna (they/she) is a trained preventive conservator providing specialised services in  preservation, collections care and management, assessment, and  large-scale institutional planning. They join ICS Sydney as part of the  Museums & Gallery Services division with nearly ten years of diverse experience across the United States and in Australia.

Gianna is passionate about accessible and sustainable preservation solutions that fit the specific needs of each client. Proactive preventive conservation strategies are a proven cost-saving and risk-reducing approach to collections: Gianna loves to teach these skills and to provide institutions with any necessary support.

Gianna has worked with private and public collecting institutions large and small in overall preservation assessments that consider both the collection and the building. Gianna has tailored preservation planning to collections across diverse climates, factoring regional weather impacts and potential hazards on collections. Whether an archive, a historic site, or collection of Contemporary artwork, Gianna has considerably knowledge of the specific needs of these diverse collections when it comes to storage, display, and transport.

Gianna's career began as the Conservation Assistant at The Frick Collection in New York City, where they assisted and managed preservation projects as the museum underwent a multi-year renovation and collections move. As a graduate student, Gianna interned across the United States from New York to Florida to California. It was during a six-month internship with ICS Sydney that Gianna fell in love with Australia and its heritage.
